Solution

I built Iryna Discord Bot as a solo developer for the official Irys Discord, under CMO direction. Before Iryna, the team had to combine many different bots to handle moderation, onboarding, games, banned words, and community operations. Iryna replaced this fragmented setup with one custom bot aligned with Irys needs. I implemented the full system: moderation commands, anti-spam protections, onboarding and gamification features, community activity tracking (messages, points, usage stats), and AI experiences including RAG support for developers and conversational interactions in specific channels. The bot scaled to 150K+ community users and was continuously improved over 5-6 months through feature additions and command tuning.

Iryna replaced a stack of separate bots with one custom bot built around how the Irys community actually runs. The same building blocks apply to other large Discord servers:

• Moderation commands, regex word rules and anti-spam protections tuned so normal members are not caught
• Onboarding flows, games and gamification with community points
• Activity analytics covering messages, points and usage stats
• An AI assistant that answers developer questions using RAG
• Conversational AI interactions limited to the channels you choose

Iryna took one week to set up, then evolved for 5-6 months through feature additions and command tuning as the community grew past 150K users.
