Who is responsible

Hugo Sequier operates this portfolio (hugosequier.com) and the State Method website (statemethod.com), and is responsible for the processing described here. Privacy requests can be sent to sequierh@gmail.com.

Audience measurement and performance

Google Analytics

Both sites use Google Analytics 4, provided by Google, to measure how visitors use them: measurement ID G-2XPPZRPZ4J on hugosequier.com and G-XCZ9B0KJ74 on statemethod.com. The Google tag loads only after you choose Accept in the analytics banner. If you refuse or do not choose, it is not loaded and no Google Analytics cookie is set.

Google Analytics records the pages you view, the referring page or campaign, the time of each visit, interaction events it measures automatically, and technical details such as browser, device type, screen size, and language. Google uses your IP address to estimate your approximate location (country, region, and city) and does not store the IP address in Google Analytics. To recognise returning browsers, the tag sets first-party cookies named _ga and _ga_<ID>, which last up to two years unless you delete them.

The purpose is to understand which content is visited, how visitors arrive, and whether the sites work. Form answers, names, email addresses, and companies are not sent to Google Analytics by these sites. The legal basis is your consent.

Your choice is stored in your browser for six months, after which you are asked again. You can withdraw or change it at any time with the Cookie settings link in the footer of each site; withdrawing stops the tag and deletes its cookies. Refusing has no effect on access to either site.

Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights

On the production sites, Vercel Web Analytics records aggregated page views and, on hugosequier.com, a small set of conversion events. Vercel Speed Insights records web-performance measurements on hugosequier.com. These Vercel services do not use cookies.

The approved Vercel event properties describe only the page, placement, form, or destination type. Names, email addresses, companies, form answers, identifiers, and booking details are not sent as event properties. The purpose is to measure whether public content works and to diagnose site performance. The legal basis is the operator's legitimate interest in measuring and improving these sites.

Forms

State Method workflow assessment

The workflow assessment on statemethod.com lets you describe one workflow you want to improve with AI so Hugo can review it, assess whether State Method can help, and reply to you about a possible first call. It collects your name, work email, company, role, a workflow summary, the input or document types involved, and your current baseline. It also records that you accepted this notice and the notice version you accepted.

Submissions are stored in Convex for human review and are deleted after 90 days. They are not used for marketing or added to a mailing list. Please do not include confidential or sensitive information.

After a successful submission, your browser opens Hugo's Calendly booking page. No form answers are sent to Calendly; anything you enter there is governed by Calendly's own notice.

General contact on hugosequier.com

The general form collects your name, email address, requested service, and message so Hugo can read and respond to your enquiry. The message is delivered through Resend to Hugo's email inbox. The site does not add the submission to a separate contact database.

Former AI Workflow Diagnostic intake on hugosequier.com

The diagnostic form that used to be on this portfolio has been removed. Submissions it collected (name, work email, company, role, and business context) remain in the same Convex database and follow the same 90-day deletion period.

Legal basis

Form submissions are processed to take steps at your request before a possible engagement and, where applicable, for the legitimate interest of answering professional enquiries. Completing the forms is voluntary, but the required fields are needed to respond.

Recipients and providers

• Vercel hosts both sites and provides aggregated analytics and performance measurements.
• Google provides Google Analytics on both sites and receives the measurement data described above.
• Convex stores State Method workflow assessments and any remaining former diagnostic submissions until their scheduled deletion.
• Resend transmits general contact messages by email.
• Calendly provides the booking page opened after a workflow assessment; it receives no form answers from these sites.

These providers may process data outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States, under their applicable contractual safeguards or the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework where the provider is certified. Their own notices govern processing that happens after you independently open an external service.

Retention

• Unsuccessful form attempts are not intentionally stored by these sites.
• Workflow assessments and former diagnostic submissions are deleted from the intake database after 90 days.
• General contact messages are retained for up to 12 months after the last relevant exchange unless an engagement begins.
• Vercel aggregate analytics are retained for no more than 12 months.
• Google Analytics deletes event-level data after 2 months and user-level data after 14 months on both sites. Aggregated reports are not affected. Its cookies last up to two years unless you delete them or withdraw consent.
• Your analytics choice is kept in your browser's local storage for six months.
• Information needed for an engagement, dispute, or legal obligation may be retained separately for the applicable contractual or statutory period.

Your rights

Depending on the processing, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or object to use of your personal data. Send a request to sequierh@gmail.com. You may also lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority, the CNIL.

Changes

This policy is updated when the forms, providers, purposes, or retention rules change. The version date at the top identifies the notice that applies.
